Instructions:

  • Give students a list of clues (e.g., “Find something next to the river”).

  • Students locate the item on the map.

  • Have them say or write a sentence using the preposition.

  • Optional: Students create their own clues for a partner.

Map Scavenger Hunt

Students search the map using simple clues and prepositions.

This activity builds vocabulary, observation skills, and spatial language.

Variations:
 

  • Use color clues (“Find something that is green”).

  • Use number clues (“Find five areas with water”).

  • Turn it into a timed challenge.
